Today I am thankful for our home ... Yes it's been a struggle but life came full circle for us,, we are thankful and together!
Growing up we had it pretty good. I'll admit it, my dad has always spoiled his girls...we are his pride and joy and most of the time we get we want and if he cant get it for us or better yet he will build it . jk but no really he will do what he can to make us happy ... then something happened...
On August 10th 2003 Our family had a terrible car accident. My Dad had terrible headaches for weeks and finally the chiropractor suggested my dad have the doctor do a scan on his head. He developed a blood clog in his head from being impacted in the car accident .. later it was decided he needed to get surgery... both of my parents were unable to work for months while he recovered. Meanwhile the bills kept piled up so we were forced to move from our beloved house
I think i must have been in high school when my parents decided to relocate our family to the dun dun dun "stick" house. That my dear, was not fun. In fact, I thought my life was over when my dad showed us where we would soon be living ... I remember it like it was yesterday, He packed us girls up in our lil Chrysler and drove us up the street made a few turns then on Extension Rd a right then a quick left. He slowed the car to a creep and pointed at the shack and said "There it is! this is our new house..."
I laughed and shouted "What! Dad show us the house, stop being funny..." bahbahhah "this house is fugly!" . He stopped smiling and said "Blanca this is the house ... "
"Look dad this isn't funny i am not going in there" I hate it ! I'm not living inside that !,, and what are those sticks for? (the 2 by 4's framing the cart port) Is this even a real house?? I was mad. At that point i wanted him to look back at us, smile and say "just kidding girls!! I tricked you" and drive to the house that really was ours. ...
but he didn't do that. That house was the one we would live in for the next 4 years. :(
For the longest time i was mad at my dad ...why would he do this to us? make us live in such and ugly house? ssoooo mean i thought ... it even had mice when we first got there ..
Ok let me try to explain this monstrosity of a house.. it was a two bedroom house. who makes a two bedroom house ?? like c'mon that's like and apartment and a small lil laundry room and a kitchen ohhhh but wait! there was a pool; a very empty and dirty pool. There was also a big ole back yard for my dad the handy man to store all his tools. (which by the way we where robbed a total of about 5 times in that house). Don't let me forget the carport area- yea i said carport because the house was so old they probably didn't even make garages back when this house was first built. anyway that was being built into rooms , should i mention that took like 20 million years to get built....
Long story short, i had to sleep on the fold out couch for over a year and cuz i started to have back problems. They put a real bed in the living room and that became "my room".
there is so much more stuff i could complain about in regards to this house but I'm not gonna bother. We live in an awesome house now and there is no use looking back.. I'm happy and will be thankful for our blessings. After what happened yesterday at my sisters house (her evil toilet flooded her house luckily everything is fine now) i am glad that as a family we have been blessed to have a roof over our heads we are all alive after that terrible accident. And now we don't have to worry about a mortgage or a loan being kicked out or an embarrassing house.
We are lucky its true...

second chance
I ran a light... not on purpose.. OKAY, OKAY i ran it so i deserve a ticket !!but there was nobody around and it was late . on a street that was only a three way stop. so my risks of an accident where slip to non existent ... enough explaining i got the dumb ticket. stupid camera flashed me!! FU camera go find some friends or something ,,, Weeks later i received my present in the mail....since i had no previous violations they allowed me to complete a course of driving school to clear my name . i don't get points on my license and i get to pay less for the violation ... long story short i ended up in stupid driving school way up in Scottsdale but it was four hours of boring talk and to top it off the classroom was freezing . Not a good combination. i was in a classroom full of mummies. (snow birds they call them) . ii took for-freakin-ever but i finished sitting there (4 1/2 hours later my back was killing me by then) and that i guess is supposed to make me be a better driver ... i guess, anyway i am thankful that i took the class and avoided seeing a poppycock judge who's is just gonna lecture me and demand i give him my soul in exchange for no jail time bhabhab jk that couldn't happen for a red light violation. non the less i was glad i went to driving school and learned that the yield sign is white with red as opposed to yellow.

Dr Murad not just any doctor !
One day I woke up to hugest pimple ever.. it was super enormous and wouldn't pop (not that i recommend popping them that leaves scars) by the middle of the day i was sick of people looking at it in disgust ... like i invited him right over "Hello people i don't want this protrusion invading my beautiful face! " so stop starring
So i picked up my friend and headed to the mall.
Friend: What u getting at the mall ?
Me: umm i need something for this pimple.
Friend: What pimple? u don't even have any pimples.
Me: i looked at her funny from the corner of my eye. Brushed back my bands to the opposite side. "This one!"
Friend: OH Mija!! No bueno!! yea lets go get something for that....time passed .... "its really big pimple "
Me: walking towards Sephora . I know friend stop saying it so loud now !
So we arrive at Sephora. We are looking around I remember they don't sell Mario Badescu (supposed to be the best of the best when it comes to pimple spot treatments) here and i panic. ummm , so i start looking at other brands scanning the shelves for a good spot treatment. i see some but they are like too expensive. curios to get some feedback i ask the lady working the floor. and she directs me to Dr Murad ill give it a try since she says its the best seller. ok lady give me the stuff so I can get out of here already! There's already a line starting to form to stare at the mountain on my forehead ! ! I'm totally kidding there was no line . .
I present to you ta ta dah!! Dr M
Don't let the size fool you ! Oh don't u do it, trust the doctor! I put a tiny lil blob of this on the zit before bed that night and by the AM my pimple invader was no more ! This little bottle is packed with pimple zapping and erasing magic. OK so its not really magic! There has got to be some scientific chemical reaction type stuff going on when the formula comes in contact with a most dis wanted pimple but don't be such a Grinch go with the magic theory. It makes things more whimsical....Anyway for only 18 dolares (that's dollars in Spanish baha) this too can be yours. November Challenge
So it's officially November . Yay!
I've got to admit, I am in love with Autumn !!! (some may know her as fall) but i like to refer to her as Autumn its more exotic. And yes, she is a lady if u didn't know already . . .I wish I lived somewhere fun where the trees turn orange and yellow colors and all the leaves fell everywhere in piles .. but sadly i live in cactus land Arizona boo !
I still love you desert but you could try a little harder to make my dreams come true. Can you imagine a cactus turning orange then shedding its thorns. bahahah too funny anyway let me get back on topic.
As a tribute to the holiday season and for Thanksgiving month i will be doing a November challenge. It goes like this : For the duration of the month i will write about what i am thankful for that day. I might not be having a great day but i will allow myself to be positive and acknowledge that for the most part i have it pretty damn good.
